Everyone has a story
My interest began with my own family history: immigrants from Eastern Europe, Scotland, Germany and Sweden, among other places. They were carpenters, shoemakers, janitors, farmers, lawyers, legislators, refugees, poets, pioneers.
Every one of them had a story—a place, a time, influences and choices.
For better or worse, their stories inform my own.
Personal Historian
Genealogists are detectives, searching for clues, facts, connections, and explanations in the vast and growing pool of available records. A passionate researcher and fact-checker, I enjoy a good historical or surname rabbit hole. And, primarily a personal historian, my passion is the story behind the records.
